The last TechTalk, arranged by the Node.js Ninja Ihor Yamshchykov was dedicated to Test Driven Development in Node.js applications.
Test-driven development (TDD) is a process in software development which combines test-first development where you write a test before you write just enough production code to fulfill that test and refactoring.
The TDD cycle consists of the following steps:
1. Add a test
2. Run all tests and see if the new one fails
3. Write some code
4. Run tests and verify that new test is passing
5. Refactor code
6. Run tests again and verify that all of them are passing
Find out more info about benefits and drawbacks of TDD in the presentation. Use it on practice to get more experience. Don’t forget that great project starts from a nice approach to its implementation.
